Counseling provides a safe space for you to explore life challenges, create solutions, and take steps for change and real happiness in your life.
The constant cycle of dieting and binge eating can steal vast amounts of your life and leave you feeling ashamed and defeated. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore what has stopped you from being the you that you what to be. What gets in your way? Why haven't you reached your goals?
Counseling can help you work through these and other questions to find the root cause of your current challenges. I call it "unpacking" and find that when clients begin to unpack the emotional and mental weight, the pounds begin to fall off.
Needing or seeking help is not a sign of weakness. It takes courage and strength to reach out for assistance. Anyone can keep doing what they are doing. However, someone who recognizes they are unhappy or not as healthy as they would like to be AND decides to do something about it, is an exceptionally strong individual.
Do not continue to struggle in silence or alone. I can help. Let's partner together to create the life and future that you envision for yourself.
Online counseling is an ideal and effective way to receive professional counseling without experiencing the pressure of having to meet with a therapist face-to-face in an office. Online counseling provides convenience, flexibility, privacy, and accessibility – particularly if you have a busy schedule, are unable to travel, and desire an added degree of privacy.
I offer video sessions through a secure, HIPPA-compliant video software, which allows my clients to meet with me in the comforts of their own homes. Online counseling has been well researched and proven to be just as meaningful, transformative, and effective as in-office therapy. Please see Frequently Asked Questions for more information about online counseling.
Counseling sessions are typically 45-60 minutes in length (phone sessions 30-35 minutes). Most sessions will take place once a week, unless your needs call for additional or reduced sessions.

All major credit cards , debit cards, and Zelle are accepted for payment. Payment is due at the beginning of each session.
Please note that a 24-hour cancellation notice is required. If you do not provide at least a 24 hour advance notice, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session
In-Network Provider: I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO (Illinois residents only).
Out-of-Network Provider Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking your insurance company the following questions:
Many clients with insurance opt to pay for counseling themselves, out-of-pocket, as a way to secure privacy and maintain independence in choice. When clients use their health insurance to pay for counseling, I am required to provide a mental health diagnosis to the insurance company. The diagnosis and treatment episodes become a part of your medical health insurance record.
